BistroChat is a restaurant booking and loyalty program app for Hong Kong, built with React Native and Firebase. The app's core feature lets users book restaurants in Hong Kong through real-time chat with restaurant staff, confirming reservations instantly from anywhere, using Firebase Realtime Database to power the live chat and booking experience across devices.
Creating a Real-Time Restaurant Booking Experience
The main challenge was creating a seamless restaurant discovery and booking experience that could work across mobile devices while keeping communication between users and restaurant staff fast and reliable.
